Kim A. Smith serves as the Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff for Monica Motivates, LLC. She’s spent 18 years mastering leadership within some of the top hospital systems in the industry – including Duke Medicine, MUSC Health and Tenet Healthcare. Kim’s corporate experience includes leadership development, hospital and outpatient operations, business development and service excellence.
This Wake Forest University and University of South Carolina graduate further enhanced her knowledge as an executive coach through Coaching Intensive Training with the CAPP Institute for Coaching and Positive Psychology.
She has authored two leadership books. In The Value Lens, readers learn how to shift from employee to partner. Kim’s newest book People First then Profit, is a roadmap for improving business outcomes by building positive team cultures. Kim believes that the success of any corporate executive or brand owner is a return on the investment they made in their people first. As a Fortune 500 speaker, Kim uses her gift of storytelling to bring her 25 years of professional speaking to each audience- always inspiring positive shifts in personal performance and team engagement. At Monica Motivates, Kim is responsible for the overall growth and development of the organization – directly supporting the CEO, Monica McCoy.
